NUPENG begins 3-day warning strike, shuts petroleum depots nationwide

Nigerians would not want to experience a situation similar to this so early in the New Year
Nigerians would not want to experience a situation similar to this so early in the New Year.

Distribution of petroleum products in depots across the country has been crippled as NUPENG kicked off its 3-day warning strike Wednesday.

The union had stated its intention to embark on the strike in protest against ill-treatment of its members by multinationals operating in the oil and gas sector.

Citizens are yet to begin to feel the pang of the development and can only hope for a quick resolution of the contending issues between NUPENG and the Federal Government.

Both parties are reportedly set to meet by 1pm today.
