Peace Orukari has urged fellow Nigerian ladies to not sell their bodies for money.
The 26-year-old revealed she almost followed that path while trying to further her education. She approached political leaders in Sabageria Community in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State for help. She said they demanded sex before talking about helping out.
It was then she decided to follow the difficult but noble path of hard work.
She began hawking oranges and selling recharge cards. Peace did this for about five years, she told Bodmasnews in an interview.
While hawking these things, she met a tricycle driver and begged him to teach her how to drive. After acquiring that skill, she became a tricycle driver herself. She doesn’t own the vehicle she uses at the moment but is planning on buying one.
She now uses her earnings to help her family. And she has not given up on schooling further.

I love to have unfettered conversations about the media, religion, education, human rights, politics and everything in between. Aside creating web content, I also cherish causing the world some trouble as I, despite a looming global water crisis, drink three litres of the liquid on a daily basis thereby shortening the ration of the rest of humanity.
